The South China Sea
In an odd pair of incidents, the US Navy just lost both a Sea Hawk helicopter and a F-18 Super Hornet in the space of half an hour. Was it bad weather? Or does China have some new secret electronic weapon that can knock US aircraft out of the sky?

A 'sea hawk' is an oxymoron, and super hornets have been extinct since shortly after the dinosaurs.
Yes, China has a secret weapon--called coincidental fateful mishap. No defense against it.

Well, the crashes are under investigation and all the crew survived, so what happened shouldn't be a mystery for too long.
Whether the findings will be disclosed is another matter. I dare say even if it is revealed that there was some weather event or something behind it, there will be those who believe there has been a cover up.
There will be the 'official' explanation, then the 'speculative' explanations. Somebody is bound to mention aliens....
