Stolen from Bluesky
Original poster Robert Reich
Attempting to rig elections on his behalf.
Turning the military on citizens.
Toying with the idea of declaring martial law.
Attacking political enemies and punishing those who speak out against his regime.
If this were happening in another country, what would you call it?
RE: Stolen from Bluesky
Steve,
I believe it would be called...
A Coup d'etat.
And it sounds like what trump wants for the United States...with him sitting at the head if the table...
I truly hope he doesn't get what he wants....

You forgot to mention murdering civilians in international waters.

Yes that too, Craig, Nice seeing You!
I'm wondering what's going to be said about that...it seems nothing he does is going too far for those that adore the man.
Did the United States government have the right to murder those 11 people that were riding in the boat. because trump felt they had drugs, and was on the way to the United States?... I'd really like to know!
Although I certainly don't want drugs to be brought here, and I know there is political tension between Venezuela and the U. S...I believe trump has gone too far. What will be enough for people to realize that he is not fit to lead? What has to happen? or will this country be dragged into a war... before he is thrown out of office...
It just seems the man is completely uncontrollable...and cannot be stopped. Yes, Judgements have been made against him, and yet he continues to ignore them, doing whatever he wants...I don't think he's mentally sound any more, and is dangerous.
This might sound horrible to some, but I have no sympathy for anyone that even starts to take illicit drugs, none whatsoever...they do so knowing the danger of addition...even kids know that, sorry I don't feel sorry for any of them.

What a humiliating way for Don Jr to find out that his Dad sends birthday cards!

Something people aren't talking about enough is how often Charlie Kirk invoked the Fifth Amendment when testifying before Congress about the domestic terrorists he provided buses to get to Washington on January 6, 2021.
RE: Stolen from Bluesky
Are you suggesting that Kirk told them to beat up cops and disrupt Capitol proceedings, was involved in any way with those events, or transported people who at the time were known to have broken laws? Please provide evidence for your claim.
RE: Stolen from Bluesky
Heavens to Betsy! Are you suggesting that Mrs Betty Bowers just makes shit up?! I will demand a humiliating apology from you when the truth of her claims is revealed!
Of course what she is suggesting and what is clearly suggested is that pleading the fifth indicates that the person being interviewed has committed indictable offences. You know, like Trump and many of his cronies have done.
Of course I bow down to your greater wisdom (or is it just automatic scepticism for any claim that we make?) and will burrow diligently to ascertain the veracity of Betty's words.
RE: Stolen from Bluesky
Yay, Betty! I knew I could rely on you.
According to Newsweek (link below) the J6 committee asked Kirk 70 questions and he pleaded the fifth to 69 of them. At least we know what state he lived in, though!
And I know what you're now going to claim were his reasons.
I would suggest the two main reasons were
1. He's an uncooperative arsehole
and
2. He potentially committed crimes relating to organising protesters (rioters) for J6 and transporting them to Washington.
RE: Stolen from Bluesky
Sorry, left out the link to the Newsweek article, but here's a link to the actual transcript. More interesting than you might imagine considering his refusal to answer. The questions themselves are quite revealing.
