If I have written a story about an event, would it be allowed to write a poem about the same event?

I'm certain the site would be fine with that, as long as it's not copying and pasting the same material and merely adding line breaks. Also, that's a great idea.

Yeah, Harambee is correct. I've seen that done before. Someone took one his stories and changed it into poetry, but it was essentially the same material in a different format. The site removed it. So, be careful.
