New user question
Hi! I am very new to creative writing and completely new to FanStory.
I have a Novelette I am looking to get feedback on and probably enter in the Science Fiction contest coming up.
What is the best way/place to start posting something like that?
All told, once I have it edited and finalized it is probably going to be around 25k words. I wrote it as three short stories, but they really belong to one Novelette.

If you want people to read it and provide useful feedback, break it up into chunks as small as possible and promote the individual pieces. You can then add each of those as chapters in a book. Supposedly, the typical adult reads 200 to 300 words per minute. So a 6000 word work is a pretty large chunk to digest, let alone comment on, when folks might earn the same reward for reading a 5-7-5. If your writing is really exciting and hooks readers from the beginning, it will have a much better shot at receiving useful reviews, and folks might have more tolerance for longer length.
