A little slice of nature.
A Most Amazing Sight
by patcelaw
The first summer after my husband and I moved into our new home in Las Cruces, New Mexico, while we we were sitting on the patio in the early morning hours, my husband was wearing a red baseball cap, as we were spending time just observing the beauty of our lovely home and area in which we now lived.
As Wayne sat quietly, a hummingbird flew into the patio and began to hover at the bill of his cap. The beautiful, tiny bird hovered for several minutes, while Wayne sat perfectly still and watched the tiny bird as it hovered just inches in front of his face.
I was seated on the other side of the patio and sat in amazement at the sight of this tiny, feathered bird was seemingly unaware of the fact that there was a human under the red baseball cap.
Without a doubt in my mind, I would have to say, that was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen a bird of any kind doing.
