A Romantic Free Verse Poem

My First Love

*

She entered my life quietly—
like light slipping through an open curtain,
touching everything without asking permission.

Her laughter—
soft and sudden—
became the sound of youth itself.

We walked for hours
too golden to name,
believing the sun would never set.

I remember her hands,
how they gathered sunlight,
how they trembled when she let go.

Time, patient and cruel,
carried us down different roads,
but sometimes,
in the hush between thoughts…

I hear her voice again—
that first language of the heart
that never needed words.
