AI Didn't Write This Poem Part 2

by Joie de Leon

i-i wrote this yeah me
not a program not a code not some mystery
i wrote it this way--yeah on purpose maybe
so your fancy AI tools that arent reliable
can... convince you its really my poetry

you said its too neat that it must be AI
funny youre the one who sounds terrified
you talk like you know machine made art
maybe cause you use it too much sweetheart

its wild how fast youd ruin my name
just cause my poem actually won the game
you scream its fake when you feel defeat
but sorry i just worked hard to make it sound neat

youll write your own verse to tear me apart
then act like justice not envy not heart
youll gather your crowd throw shade play sly
but i see through that act i know why you try

its funny though right
when i first posted no one cried
no one said AI no flags no fight
only after i won now youre shouting lie

you love to mock ive seen your tone
the way you twist words from behind your phone
so here let me clap for you slowly proud
bravo you did it you stirred the crowd

but me--im still here poem intact
no guilt no glitch just truth and fact
so keep your doubts your noise your plea
cause AI didnt write this, i DID- believe me

and yeah--i messed up some commas... maybe on purpose
so your tool can beep and tell you "yep this one's human"
happy now? did i satisfy your jealousy?
i hope so... really, bravo, I hope it made you happy.

Emotions Poetry Contest contest entry

When someone spreads rumors that my work was created by AI, I honestly take it as a compliment because it means they think I wrote it so smoothly and neatly. But let's be clear. Word documents and similar tools have built-in grammar, punctuation, and spelling checks. Using these tools is completely normal. Millions of students, professionals, and authors use Word, Grammarly, or other similar apps. That is standard editing, not cheating.

If using these tools on my phone is somehow considered forbidden, I am sorry, but please do not insult me or spread false rumors that I used AI. Comparing my tone in private messages to the emotions I express in my poetry does not define me. It says more about the person spreading negativity than me. Jealousy and insecurity are real human struggles, and medicine has not been invented for that yet.

Let us learn to appreciate one another's work. Spreading rumors and mocking people online harms mental and emotional health, and that is not acceptable. I am grateful that your actions showed me why you might attack me, but I will kindly step away. Votes or no votes, I am here to share my work, appreciate others' work, and continue learning, not to deal with people trying to ruin my reputation.
To be clear, you never disqualified any work I submitted in the contest, even though you doubted it was genuinely mine. Only after seeing I blocked you did your praise turn into attacks. That is your choice, and that is fine. I have nothing to lose.

So if you truly think AI wrote my work, thank you. That is a compliment I accept. I am just expressing my emotions honestly and not trying to cause problems. I will not name anyone, but you know who you are.

By the way, thank you for the tip about creating great AI images. It is clear you are very familiar with AI tools. Personally, the only AI I use is for music creation, and even then, the lyrics are my own. I am proud of the music I have created, songs people can relate to, including a piece I have composed for my own funeral.

At the end of the day, my focus is on sharing creativity, learning, and growing while leaving negativity behind.
