All Saints' Day

Tearful memories
 
of loved ones long departed
 
haunt this All  Saints'Day.

Write a Senru. A poem that follows the five, seven, and five syllable count (5, 7, 5). 17 syllables in all. Senryu is usually written in the present tense and only references to some aspect of human nature or emotions.


In our particular religious tradition we pray for the souls of the departed, personal and general, on both All Saints' and All Souls' Day.
