Beautiful Butterflies

by Cecilia A Heiskary

Butterflies go flying through the air
In my large garden there is a pair
They are beautiful, and pink, and gold
Butterflies are something to behold

They pollinate the other flowers
My butterflies stay during showers
The flowers are yellow, blue, and pink
They land in birdbath to get drink

Monarchs are getting rarer to see
The bluest are found in Tennessee
Enjoy them while you can, soon they will leave
I love to watch them on a summer's eve

Butterflies migrate away in Fall
Come back in the Spring to visit all
