On day one’s lunch break at Allstate Insurance School, I worried about returning to class late. My friend stood behind me at the buffet. Grimacing at the line’s length, I turned while announcing, “I’m not even hung—” only to discover he’d vanished—having been replaced by a winking, matronly woman.

I don't quite Know how to proceed with the contest rules. When I put this in "Edit" mode, the word count shows 50. When I count it manually, I come up with 51. The question is, what does the contest committee use to determine AN accurate word count? I DECIDED TO GO BY MANUAL COUNT. HOW CAN ANYONE DISPUTE COUNTING ON FINGERS?
