A chapter in the book Common Sense for Seniors

CommonSenseForSeniors-325-336

by Karen Cherry

#1 Evening news is where they say, "Good Evening". And then proceed to tell you why it is not.

#2 You can, and you should, and if you are brave enough, you will.

#3 Morning comes whether you set the alarm or not.

#4 Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than walking into a garage makes you a car.

#5 The harder I work, the luckier I get.

#6 The only place success comes before work, is in the dictionary.

#7 When I was growing up. I always wanted to be "Someone". I should have been more specific.

#8 Lots of people want to be your friend when they can ride with you in the limo. A true friend will ride with you on the bus when the limo quits coming.

#9  You know those tests they give you in school, where one of the questions was, "Is the glass half empty or half full?" I thought it was stupid. I said the glass is twice as big as it needs to be, they should use a smaller glass.

#10 Before marrying anyone, you should make them use a computer  with a very slow connection, and see how they cope.

#11 We were given two ends, one to sit on, and one to think with. Success is determined by which one you use the most.

And, number 12…..

In life you really only need two things. WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move when it should, use WD40 . And, if it moves when it shouldn't, use the duct tape. I have also found that in a pinch, a hammer is helpful. :-)
