Keeping Gypsy in Prayer

I have some news that I just learned about Gypsy today

I found out that her older sister has just passed away

So, we'll all keep her in our thoughts, and for her we will pray

Because we love you, Gypsy, there is more we'd like to say 



She was older but you were an inseparable pair

The time you had together, there's nothing that will compare

In good and also bad times, for each other you were there

And continents apart would never change how much you care



We hope you know we're thinking of you, Gypsy, our dear friend

And we know that the love for your sister will never end

With friendship and compassion, our condolences we send

We pray that memories will give you peace and help you mend

Chapter 1
Mermaid Wishes

This mermaid swims in warm salty water
thinking of a poet so fine and beautiful

your sister is with you always as she
smiles at brightly colored fish

the sun rises on a blue ocean
waves are soft, reaching the shore

the sea lady's wish is that
her thoughts reach your soul

memories of good times create
pictures of happiness

may your sister be with you
and watch over you

Chapter 2
Sending Some Love

Gypsy, This I know,
though you must miss sister so,
for sisters make wonderful friends,

Your years together
in all sorts of weather
showed love, on which one depends.

So I wanted to say
you may not see the way
to a happier place and time.

But know that my prayer,
it will always be there
both at home and in this rhyme.

Author Notes Gypsy, You are being thought of and prayed for tonite and continuing. If you ever need to talk, I am here. I am sending virtual hugs and lots of encouragement that you will get through this:)

Chapter 3
A Special Gift for Sisters

A sister is a special gift,
But sometimes things will go adrift.

We might lose touch and feel regret,
Then love finds a way, don't forget.

You'd reach across, and then she'd smile,
And bonds you shared were all worthwhile.

When vibrant moon is up above,
You'll know your heart is filled with love.

Since love remains in sisters' heart,
A bond has formed and won't depart.

For sisters who once shared a gift
Will know they'll never go adrift.

Sister

Silently her laughter echoes

Iconic as her funny frown

Sweet memories of one last hug

That coming years can never drown

Each mirrored glimpse of morning's grace

Reflects a bond time can't erase

Her Love Remains

Her sister’s love
sheltered her
when Mother’s scent faded from
the clothes
unneeded in Heaven

Her sister’s love
guarded her fragile heart
from the cold indifference
of Father’s new bride

Her sister’s love
warmed the distance
from an ocean and a continent away

Her sister’s love remains
as she smiles down
from a dimension unseen
but closer than we know

Author Notes Thanks to Debi for creating this book for Gypsy when she learned that Gypsy's sister had died.

Thanks to all who prayed for Gypsy and her family and all those affected by the Southern California fires. Gypsy said they finally got rain. Please continue to pray for the recovery and rebuilding. She said her grandson's school burned down.

Rest With The Angels

Tears fell when she flew

Your sister rests with Angels

Hear whispers in wind

Author Notes A Haiku of remembrance for Gypsy's dear sister that I was saddened to hear passed away.
My deepest condolences to Gypsy and her family at this difficult time of loss.
